Our Story

We have been together for 19 years now, married for 15! We met in college; he was a wrestler, I was a wrestling manager---aww, cute I know ;) After a year of dating, Mark moved to Iowa to finish his wrestling career at a different college, which meant a long-distance relationship for 2 years! This was a time of learning & growth for both of us, but we came out on the other side stronger for it.

We got married June 2011, bought our first house and enjoyed time just the two of us-and our pups-for 4 years. In 2015, Mark graduated with his M.S. in Counseling Psychology & we were expecting our first kiddo! We learned SO. MUCH. about our relationship after having our son. There's so much information about having a baby & caring for baby, but there is zero information on how to prepare your relationship for having a baby. It takes a lot of work & a lot of patience.

Fast-forward to May 2019, we had our daughter and that was not without it's stressors. In March I was in the hospital for almost 3 weeks with Placenta Previa. Thankfully it resolved (placenta moved away from the cervix) enough that I could go home and have a natural delivery. However, that did mean I was a step above bed rest, meaning I couldn't do any activities that could cause potential pre-term labor. aka, no sexy time--for 2.5 months, plus the typical recovery time after birth!  We were once again, in a new territory of our relationship, navigating how to stay connected & intimate in new ways. This began our path towards figuring out how we could support other parents on a similar journey.

Now, we are working together to coach & support parents as they navigate the beautiful and challenging season of raising children. . Helping them to create a strong foundation of connection, communication, and new ways of navigating intimacy.
